      HOPPING:

I have a product or brand in mind. How do I search for it?
Click on the "Item SEARCH" button, located in the left sidebar of every page. Then you can search by keyword, category or style number. Or just enter your search criteria in the Search bar if you are in the shopping pages. Also, every page has a big aqua-colored Catalog link box in the sidebar where you can select a Brand and then see what we offer in that Brand.

How do I find out if a product is in stock?
When looking at the Product Detail page, click the first dropdown menu labeled "size" to choose size desired. Then, click on the dropdown menu labeled "color" (if there is a choice) to choose desired color. Availability for that item will then be displayed. If the product says it is not available, you may still call us to see if we will be getting it in soon

       RDERING/SHOPPING CART:

How do I add items to my Shopping Cart?
After selecting the size, color (if available) and quantity of a specific product, click on the "Add to Cart" button located near the detail of each product in the product search catalog pages or the specific item product detail page.

I just added an item to the Shopping Cart and I have returned to shopping. How do I know that the item got added when I returned to the catalog?
There will be a little shopping cart icon next to the item you just added to the cart that looks like this:                 If you still need assurance and you click on this icon, it will take you to the shopping cart and you can see that the item has been added

On the Product Details page, there are small pictures showing different colors of an item that I would like to see in a larger scale. How do I do that?
Just click on the small pictures, or thumbnails and a larger screen will appear with a large image of the thumbnail appearing in it. When you are ready to close the window, click on the 'close' icon in the top right corner of the window.

How do I update or remove items from my Shopping Cart when I am on the Shopping Cart page?
There are two ways to do this. On the Shopping Cart page, click the "remove" link located next to the item's name. The Page will refresh with the item removed. The other way to do it is to select the qty. that is shown and change it to a 0 (or a different qty. if you want ). Then click the "Update Quantities" button. The Cart will refresh with the new quantities updated or the item removed.

How do I save the contents of my Shopping Cart?
If you place items in your Shopping Cart and leave the site, items will remain in your shopping cart for eight hours. However, this does not guarantee availability.

Can I return or exchange a product?

How do I know my order has been placed?
We'll send you an email confirming the items you've purchased with an order number. This detail is in our Store Policies page.

How do I order offline?
You can call us at (425) 822-2570 M-F 9:00 am - 6:00 pm PST. We will be happy to take your order. Once your order is approved, confirmation emails will be sent to you just as if you had ordered online.

Can I place my order by fax?
Yes. Although, presently we do not have an official FAX form for you. However, if you fill out a FAX front page in any form with the item, color, size, qty., and personal information about you such as name, billing address, shipping address, and how you want to pay for the item(s) AND contacts for you in the case that we have questions.  Then if you send it to us at our FAX number (425) 822-2350, we should be able to accommodate your request. We will respond within 1 business day.

How can I check my order status?
From any page, click on the 'Service' button. Then enter the Confirmation Number in the box provided and click the 'GO!' Button. Your order will appear with the status information across the top of the page.

Can I cancel an order after it has been submitted?
Immediately contact the Customer Service team at (425) 822-2570 or email them at cust.service@pacificnorthwestoutfitters.com. Our hours of operation, and your best chance of getting an instant response are M-F 9:00 am - 6:00 pm PST. Remember that our Shipping Policies require us to ship your item(s) within 2 business days of accepting your order. Since we are trying our best to be prompt with fulfilling your order, you will need to be even faster if you want to cancel the order!

I have heard that my 'cookies' need to be enabled when I am shopping online. What does this mean and how do I do it?
Cookies are a little invention by web browser software engineers that allow other software applications to track where you have been while on the web. Pacific Northwest Outfitters™ uses ProStores as our shopping cart software and ProStores is an application that requires that your browser is configured to enable cookies.

You can enable your cookies in your browser directly or by using the setup features in your operating system. Since there are so many types and versions of operating systems and browsers, we will not attempt to deal with it specifically here. After I have added my items to the cart and when I go to my Shopping Cart, it is empty. What is the problem?
This is the fact that cookies are not enabled in your Browser. That is all that it can be. Sometimes it has been found that certain virus prevention and firewall software can override cookie handling that you have purposefully set up in your browser.

If you are having trouble entering your order and cannot figure out how to enable cookies in your browser, call us and either we will try to help you or we will take your order on the phone for you. Don't just go away, give us a call!!!

WIth all the credit scams these days, I am extremely cautious when it comes to the security of my credit information. Is it safe to use my credit card when I am shopping at Pacific Northwest Outfitters

The short answer is 'YES!" Pacific Northwest Outfitters™ is an ultra-secure shopping site. Our web site portal is secured and verified through GeoTrust and our Store (the shopping pages) is verified and encrypted with 256-bit encryption via GeoTrust, partnered with Equifax. The portal or Home page and our policies and information pages have a GeoTrust TrueSite ID seal in the top of the left side bar indicating that we are the 'real deal'. These pages act like a shell around our actual 'store'.  The 'Store' and more critical shopping pages, specifically the pages where your information is private and needs the security of encryption, such as pages that are exercised after the Shopping Cart, are under our own GeoTrust certificate.

That all sounds really good, but are there universal or standard indicators that tell me I am on a secure site?
There are a few indicators of the security of our shopping site and any site for that matter. The following browser bar snapshot has two indicators that you will see on any secure web page. (Fortunately, it just happens to be one our Pacific Northwest Outfitters™ shopping pages under our GeoTrust SSL certificate!).

1. Notice the beginning of the browser bar is https vs. http as in most web sites.  This indicates that it is a secure site.  In our case, we have a 256-bit encypted security certificate.

2. Notice the 'locked padlock' icon located near the end of the browser bar.     

This also is an indication that you are on a secure site.  These two indicators are true for almost all secure sites.  Keep in mind that the whole site need not be secure.  Our security encryption shows up when you are in the check-out portions of entering your order because that is where your personal payment and credit information needs to be protected.

What are my payment options?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and PayPal. If you desire some other payment method, call us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

How do I redeem gift certificates?
Once you're at the Payment page, you have the option to enter your Gift Certificate Number at the bottom. The gift certificate credit will be shown after you click on the "Charge my Credit Card" button.

How do I enter discount codes?
Once you're at the Billing Information page, you have the option to enter your Promotion code at the bottom. Discounts will be credited to your final order, which is sent to your email address.

Does Pacific Northwest Outfitters have its own credit card?
Not presently. We take Visa, Mastercard, Discover and PayPal.
